Quantum M1500

Overview

The M1500 provides modular scalability for companies that need a backup solution that can grow and change with their data requirements.  Developed with flexibility in mind, the M1500 can be configured to fit the performance and capacity requirements of the most aggressive users.  The scalability of the M-Series (including the M1500 and M2500) is unrivaled because it does not have to taken off-line, shipped to the manufacturer, or rebuilt when new modules are added.  The M-Series libraries also boasts the greatest density per rack space in this class of tape library and leave valuable rack space for other IT infrastructure.

  • Base-library configurable from zero to two drives and 25 cartridge slots
  • Scalable via StackLink from one to 20 drives (up to 1.2TB/hour native performance) and up to 250 cartridge slots (40TB native capacity) all "seen" by the backup software package as a single library
  • Supports DLT 8000, SDLT 220, SDLT 320 and LTO™ Ultrium™ tape drives
  • Barcode reader standard
  • Data cartridges in removable magazines providing 100% bulk loading and unloading
